The Garland Chamber of Commerce recently added the Legislative Affairs committee to its list of valuable resources for the Garland business community. While still in the early stages, its members are eager to research and support legislation that will contribute to the vitality of the Chamber's member businesses and the sustainability of the Garland community.
The committee members listed below began meeting on a monthly basis at the end of 2011. In 2012, while the Legislature is not in session, the committee will be working to research and develop a legislative agenda. All items considered will represent the best interest of the Garland community as a whole. Once an agenda is formed, it will be shared with the members and the community through the Chamber's e-newsletter and on this page of the Chamber website. The Chamber staff and its committee members are looking forward to the positive impact this form of advocacy will have on the Garland community.
