Fraudulent Chamber Website Alert

Earlier today, the Garland Chamber of Commerce staff was made aware of a fraudulent website appearing to represent our organization. If you have been contacted by an individual claiming to be with the Garland Chamber of Commerce that is not a member of our staff, we encourage you to report the incident as fraud with the Better Business Bureau. If you are ever concerned about the legitimacy of an email or phone call you receive from the Garland Chamber, we invite you to contact our CEO, Paul Mayer, or President, Karina Olivares.

Garland Chamber Signs Strategic Alliance with U.S. Small Business Administration

The Garland Chamber of Commerce just expanded its resource network in a big way, by forming a strategic alliance with the United States Small Business Administration. On Aug. 10, 2016, the SBA and Garland Chamber formally signed a Strategic Alliance Memorandum to develop and foster mutual understanding and a working relationship between the SBA and Garland Chamber of Commerce. Both entities, though serving different functions, will work together in the spirit of cooperation and open communications, consistent with the law, with the primary goal of meeting the needs of the small business community.

The Garland Chamber of Commerce is proud to share the news that the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, a national nonprofit committed to helping families struggling with their son or daughter’s substance use, announced today that Partnership for a Drug-Free Texas, an initiative of Garland Chamber member Drug Prevention Resources, will become their newest Alliance Partner.
