About the Speaker

Dick Hammond was originally introduced to experiential leadership as a participant in Class III of Leadership Garland (Texas) in 1983. A few years experience later and Dick began serving as the class facilitator for leadership programs across the country. He has also served twice as President of the Association of Texas Leadership Programs (ATLP), a state-wide association representing over 165 leadership programs. He has served as Chairman of the Board for the Community Leadership Association (CLA) which represents over 1500 community based leadership programs across the nation.

About Propel

Propel is a series of programs dedicated to engaging Garland area young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 to participate in networking, service, and professional development activities intended to advance their opportunities for success in business and leadership. Each quarter, the program offers a professional development event, a networking meet-up, and a service project in the community. All programs are designed and faciliated by young professionals on the Propel Leadership Team and Propel Committees.
