The Chamber Welcomes its Newest Team Member, Ariel Boone
The Garland Chamber of Commerce staff is thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Chamber team, Ariel Boone. Ariel joins us as our new Business Retention & Workforce Coordinator and will work in an economic development capacity to share relevant resources with our business community and take our retention and workforce development initiatives to a new level.
Ariel graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Care Management. Currently she is also working on obtaining her MBA from Saint Leo University. Ariel comes to us from Clearwater, Florida where she worked for a local college under a Department of Labor grant to create entry level positions for the manufacturing industry.
Ariel’s experience in placing qualified students in manufacturing jobs and orchestrating focused workshops and job fairs makes her a natural fit for coordinating the Chamber’s existing Job Shadowing and Career Expo programs. Her experience also allows her to bring a fresh set of eyes and an energy for innovation in a time when workforce development is a top priority for many of our local employers. Ariel also served as the representative for the trade grant her previous position operated under at the local college. Her main focus was to feed the manufacturing industry with quality local talent in order to help retain business in the local area.
As Ariel works to maintain a clear understanding of manufacturers’ needs, she'll be contributing new insight and developing effective programs for the Dallas County Manufacturers’ Association. The Chamber's goal in adding this position to our team is to facilitate growth opportunities through efficient business practices and support all our local employers in their efforts toward growth and sustainability in Garland, Texas.
After only two days on the team, Ariel has already hit the ground running. She’s exploring our community, analyzing our programs and starting to meet with local businesses to get a true pulse on real-time issues and how the Chamber can provide effective solutions.
We invite you to stop by the office any time or swing by an upcoming event to welcome Ariel to our team!
