Announcing Our Newest Team Member
The Garland Chamber of Commerce staff is thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Chamber team, Tim Zaman. Tim joins us as our Summer Intern, or as CEO Paul Mayer refers to him, the Director of First Impressions. Whatever the title, Tim will now be the first face you see in the Chamber office and will serve as an assistant to his fellow Chamber team members.
Tim is currently studying at Garland High School and will be a junior when he returns in the fall. He is taking AP (Advanced Placement) and IB (international baccalaureate) courses to help him better determine a potential college major as he looks toward his future career. Tim hopes to become an entrepreneur or follow his love of math into the engineering field.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys playing on his PlayStation 3 and volunteering at First Rowlett United Methodist Church helping with mission work. He also likes to spend time with his mother, father, and younger brother in the evenings. Tim is a self-proclaimed movie critic and enjoys going to see major blockbusters on opening day. As the Chamber staff can attest, Tim is also quite an avid sock collector and adds just a touch of fun to his professional attire with brightly-colored, sometimes super-hero-themed socks.
Tim has lived in the Garland area for 8 years and brings a wealth of ideas and energy to his position at the front desk. Tim is an excellent representation of the hard working, intelligent, and curious minds our school system is producing and the Chamber is proud to have the opportunity to work with Tim for the summer.
We invite you to stop by the Chamber office any time to welcome Tim to our team and hope you will help us introduce him to the exciting world of business, right here in Garland, Texas.
