Early voting for the state's constitutional election has officially begun. The Garland Chamber of Commerce, on behalf of its Legislative Affairs Committee, encourages Garland citizens to cast their votes on the nine issues appearing on the ballot.

Remember, this is the first election in which Texas voters will be required to show one of the following forms of photo identification at the polling location before being permitted to cast a vote:

  • Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
  • Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
  • Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
  • Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS
  • United States military identification card containing the person's photograph
  • United States citizenship certificate containing the person's photograph
  • United States passport
Early voting continues until Friday, Nov. 1. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Please note, due to construction at City Hall, Garland's early voting location is at Richland College, Garland Campus. The address is 675 W. Walnut St., Garland, TX 75040. Please enter through the gallery doors, not the Chamber of Commerce.
