HR Sub-Committee Meetings (Bi-monthly)

The HR sub-committee is composed of representatives from the Human Resources departments of their respective companies. Members contribute ideas and experiences on various topics including Gauging Employee Satisfaction, Dealing with Attendance Issues, Employee Engagement and Defining Job Descriptions. This committee also interacts with the training department at Richland College to explore training opportunities for company employees.

Safety Sub-Committee Meetings (Monthly)

The Safety sub-committee is composed of representatives from the Safety departments of their respective companies. Members contribute ideas and experiences on various topics including The Importance of Managing Change to Keep Our Work Force Safe, Personal Protective Equipment and The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. This committee also reviews and discusses such items as the Behavioral Observations Survey.

Supply Chain Sub-committee (Monthly)

The Supply Chain sub-committee is composed of individuals who manage the purchasing of vital materials necessary for production in their respective companies. Members contribute ideas and experiences on various topics including Staying Organized, Key Performance Indicators and Inventory Benchmarking. This committee also reviews and discusses such items as the Supplier Qualification & Rating system.

Job Fairs

The Dallas County Manufacturers' Association held its first job fair in 2011 in partnership with the Garland Texas Workforce Commission and Richland College Garland Campus, sponsored by Staff Force. There were 15 employers and more than 150 job seekers in attendance. The association expects to continue this resource for its manufacturers in the years to come.
