The purpose of the Women’s Business E-nitiative is to strengthen women’s business opportunities in Garland. Our goal is to provide leadership development opportunities and relationship building through networking and economic partnering.
Committee Goals include the following:
Leadership Development
- Work with Chamber staff to develop and implement external and internal communication efforts for event attendance and program promotion.
- Take leadership role in welcoming and presenting speaker.
- Actively promote the WBe program.
Networking & Economic Partnering
- To plan and implement appropriate seminars with business relevant topics and networking opportunities.
- To identify professionals and business leaders to participate as keynote speakers, trainers and mentors.
- Work with Chamber staff to develop and implement communication efforts for event and program promotion to the Chamber’s membership and community.
Relationship Building
- To collaborate with existing programs for business women that will enhance business skills, support career planning and build professionalism.
- To collaborate with existing programs to support and encourage women to pursue entrepreneurial roles.
- Work with Chamber staff to develop and implement communication efforts educating and promoting mentoring programs and resources to WBe members and community.
