A Night on the Town

With the kids out of school and summer upon us, finding time for yourself can seem difficult. Finding time for you and your significant other to have a date night seems even harder. However occasionally when you find the time, going out and spending a night on the town is always best. Here are just a handful of Date Night ideas within the Garland area.

#1. Building/Creating something for each other or your home. Nowadays there are so many options for decorating your home or even creating a personal gift for your significant other. Places like Painting with a Twist and AR Workshop, allow you to plan out a fun filled night together and create/build something beautiful.

#2. Going to watch a new movie in theatres. Due to COVID people got used to watching movies on Demand or through a streaming service, all in the comfort of their house. Now we can go watch all the different movies that coming this summer.

Make a trip towards Firewheel Shopping Center to go to that AMC Firewheel 18 theatre or drive just down the road and go to Strike and Reel. Enjoy some shopping or dinner before a movie at AMC. Or play a round of bowling and arcade games after your movie, and try some themed food and drinks at Strike and Reel.

#3. Going to Firewheel Shopping Center. As mentioned before there is an AMC theatre, a ton of stores to go shopping and of course food. Try out Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen, Bar Louie or Gloria’s Latin Cuisine.

#4. Head over to Downtown Garland. From food to shopping to live art and music, there is so much to do in the Downtown area. During the remainder of summer there will be live concerts happening Thursdays and Fridays, Sounds of Summer and Band Together on the Square. Go grab something to eat and drink over at Intrinsic Smokehouse and Brewery, Dos Banderas, Tavern on the Square or Main Street Café. Feeling a sweet tooth? Head over to Scoop N Buns, Mrs. J’s Heav’nly Delights, or Rosalind’s Café.

#5. And lastly being entertained with the theater. Garland Summer Musicals will be showing 42nd Street and Legally Blonde: The Musical.

Garland has so much to offer you and your loved one, for a night of silence, a night away from the kids or the perfect date night. So go enjoy a night out on the town.
