Garland Chamber COVID-19 Communication

All News

The Garland Chamber of Commerce is an organization focused on connecting you to those who help your business grow, and we accomplish that through our programs, initiatives and events. However, the health and safety of our members, staff and community is always top priority.

With emerging news about the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the U.S., the Garland Chamber has postponed large events scheduled through the end of April. Even smaller meetings are being migrated to virtual approaches, and we expect that to be the practice for the next couple of months at the least. We are hearing from local businesses and surrounding communities who are asking employees to work from home; limiting participation in any meeting or event where exposure risk might be heightened; banning travel; and generally exercising an abundance of well-considered caution.

We continue to closely evaluate information as we receive it and will share with you moving forward. Please check our events page for the latest updates.

The Chamber will remain open for business. If you would like to visit us, we encourage you to call ahead.

In lieu of our programming, we look forward to engaging with you on social media. Connect with us on Facebook(garland.chamber), Twitter (@GarlandChamber), Instagram (@GarlandChamber), and LinkedIn (garland-chamber-of-commerce).

Public health experts advise anyone who is most vulnerable to complications from COVID-19 to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations to stay home as much as possible and avoid large gatherings. Please follow CDC recommended respiratory etiquette and safe hand washing practices and stay home if you feel ill.
