New Residential Developments in Garland
Did you know Garland is ranked the third best city for Millennials to buy a home? According to SmartAsset, which analyzed 200 U.S. cities for its 2019 study, Millennials are buying homes in Garland because of affordability. “The median home in Garland costs just $161,700, second lowest in the top 10 [Cities Where Millennials are Buying Homes]. Overall, the homeownership rate for Millennials here has jumped from 33.4% to 42.4% [in the last decade], the fourth largest increase in this study.”
With many Millennials coming into Garland, as well as job creation that brings in more people to the area, you’d probably expect to see new houses and apartments under construction; and you’d be right. These are the newest housing developments coming to Garland:
Jefferson Woodlands is located at 4501 North Garland Avenue and it is next to Spring Creek Forest Park Preserve. This area commonly known as the “gravel pit,” sits on the corner of Garland Avenue and Arapaho Road. The 364-unit development will open winter 2019. Just a mile and half from George Bush Turnpike, residents will have stores and restaurants close by. Jefferson Woodlands will feature a resort-style pool, a two-story luxury clubhouse, state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga studio, concierge service and a master-planned trail system.
Gramercy Park is located off of George Bush Turnpike and Campbell Road. Homes will have between three and five bedrooms, 2.5 to 3.5 bathrooms, and two garages. The model home is now open to feature its unique rear-garage home design. This housing development is five minutes from Firewheel Town Center, two minutes from Breckinridge Park, and less than two miles from Firewheel Golf Park.
Riverset is located on Buckingham Road and Shiloh Road. There will be hundreds of homes available, with many parks, ponds, trails and a dog park! This development has been in the works for about three years and this year homes will finally go on the market.
Parc at Garland is located off of Bobtown Road and Rosehill Road, close to Interstate 30. With easy access to I-30 and I-635, the location is convenient for Metroplex commuters. This new apartment complex offers one-and two-bedroom apartments that range from 718 to 1,204 square feet. Other amenities include a fenced dog park, swimming pool, fitness center and walking trails.
Domain is located on 4201 Bunker Hill Road off the George Bush Turnpike. Palladium is located on I-30 and George Bush Turnpike and is breaking new ground in Garland. Palladium offers one, two, and three-bedroom apartments with community amenities included a well-equipped fitness center, dog park, swimming pools, and children play structures. Floor plans range from 803 to 1,200 square feet.
