Small Business Saturday is a once-a-year opportunity where the whole nation comes together celebrate and support everything that small businesses do for the community. Originally founded in 2010 by American Express, it later was cosponsored by U.S Small Business Administrations in 2011. Since then, Small Business Saturday has become an essential time in small business’s busiest shopping season. Shopping small can make a powerful and positive impact in a business’s success, as well as promote a more vibrant community.
Deep in the heart of Garland, Texas there lies a historic and beloved Downtown. During the pandemic, the city took initiative to redesign the whole square. From the streets to the sidewalk, to the parking so much new is coming to Garland’s Downtown area. And with any new renovation comes new business. To kick off Small Business Saturday, it is only fair to discuss all the unique and amazing shops that reside in the heart of Garland.

Now who doesn’t love delicious food? Get everything from Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and everything in between. Enjoy some breakfast goodies at Latham Bakery or Rosalind Coffee or even  Fifth Avenue Nutrition. Pick from the variety of lunch and dinner spots; Dos Banderas,  Main Street Café, or Intrinsic Brewing. Enjoy a night out at Infinity Arcade to enjoy some great eats and even games. And Lastly indulge in your sweet tooth over at Scoop N’ Buns, Mrs. J’s Heav’nly Delights, Churroland Café, or Paw Paw’s Sweet Shop and Café.

Support all the unique shops that surround the square like; Earth Goddess Apothecary, Jimmy Wallace Guitars, Baruti Spa, BGM Science of Esthetics and Eyelashes, Boogie Nights Vintage, Bee Hippy Hemp, Best Cowhides, and the Frocksy. There is never a dull moment on the square.
